ChocParty Post Automator App — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
Who operates this app
ChocParty Post Automator App (Meta App ID: 1539437920451068) is an internal publishing tool operated by The ChocBoy Chocolatiers Limited, the operator of ChocBoy and ChocParty, in Nigeria. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that business.
Business address: Block A, Unit 5, Technology Incubation Centre, Samonda, Ibadan, Nigeria.
Privacy contact: chocboy12@gmail.com.
Scope and purpose
The app helps authorised personnel prepare, schedule and publish content to our own ChocBoy and ChocParty Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts. It is not offered as a service for managing unrelated businesses’ accounts. Members of the public do not need to register with the app to view our posts.
This policy concerns the automation app. Shopping, payments and WhatsApp orders are separate activities covered by the relevant business and service-provider privacy notices.
Information processed
The app processes the information needed to run the publishing workflow:
- Connected Page and Instagram account identifiers, authorisation tokens and information needed to identify and access the authorised business accounts.
- Campaign photographs, graphics, videos, filenames, file identifiers and links selected by our team from Google Drive. Images and videos may contain identifiable people, names or other information visible in the content.
- Captions, brand and product information, campaign dates and publishing instructions.
- Post and media identifiers returned by Meta, publication times, processing status, errors and operational logs. These records help us identify incomplete posts and prevent duplicate publication.
The publishing workflow does not collect customer payment details or WhatsApp conversations, scrape follower lists, or automatically analyse visitors’ private messages. If we introduce new data-processing functions, we will update this notice before using them.
How information is used and shared
We use this information to prepare and publish authorised content, operate the schedule, troubleshoot errors and maintain publication records.
Google: Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Apps Script provide the content storage, queue, settings, execution and logging services used by the app.
Meta: Selected media, captions and necessary account information are transmitted to Facebook and Instagram for publication. Published content is available to its audience under the relevant platform and account settings. Media chosen for publication may be made accessible through a link so that Meta can retrieve it; anyone who obtains an unrestricted media link may also be able to access that media.
OpenAI: Where automatic caption generation is used, the app sends relevant brand instructions and text, and for image-based caption generation the selected image, to the OpenAI API. People or information visible in that image may therefore be included. This feature is used to generate marketing captions, not to make decisions about individuals.
These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy arrangements, and may process it outside Nigeria. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect legal rights. We do not sell personal information processed through this app.
Access and retention
Access to the app’s administration, publishing queue and credentials is intended for authorised personnel. Public campaign media is treated differently from private credentials and internal operational records.
We retain campaign assets and publication records for the operation and administration of our campaigns, including preventing duplicate posts and resolving errors. Moving content to an archive does not delete it. The publishing workflow does not automatically erase all campaign records after a fixed period. We review information when it is no longer needed and handle verified deletion requests as described below. Provider-managed logs and backups may follow separate retention schedules.
Privacy and deletion requests
You may contact chocboy12@gmail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold through the app, or to raise a privacy concern.
Use the subject “ChocParty App — Privacy Request”. Include the relevant Page/account name, post link or other information that helps us locate the material, and explain your request. Do not send passwords, access tokens or unnecessary identification documents. We may request proportionate information to verify that you are entitled to make the request.
We will review the request and explain the action taken or any lawful reason that prevents full deletion. Removing an app connection does not itself erase already published posts or stored campaign records. Deletion from our records does not necessarily remove copies independently retained or shared by others, or data a provider must retain under its own obligations.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the app’s information practices change and revise the date above. Contact chocboy12@gmail.com with questions about this policy.
